Dr. Pat Phelan, Associate Registrar, UL (third from left) presents the Paddy Dooley Rowing Scholarship to Shane Haugh, a first year B.Sc student at the University of Limerick.  Shane from Bohermore, Gregnamanagh, Co. Kilkenny received the scholarship because of his prowess in rowing and academic achievement.  Also in the photograph are are his parents Patti and Rory.  Picture Liam Burke/Press 22 (with compliments)  Press Release: The Paddy Dooley Rowing Scholarship has been established through the generosity of the Dooley family.  The family, who are from Limerick decided to establish the scholarship in honour of their father Paddy, who captained the Irish Olympic eight in the 1948 Olympic Games in London.
