WITH COMPLIMENTS.  Attending the  Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 in the  Limerick Final of the National Enterprise Awards at a ceremony in the Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare were Cllr. Liam Galvin, Mayor of Limerick City and County Council who presented the award to  Trin O’Brien and B.J. Broderick of Wellnice Pops, Athlacca winner of the Innovation award.  Also in the photographare Eamon Ryan, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Limerick(left)  and Ciara Finley, Local Enterprise Office Limerick(right). Innovation - Wellnice Pops is the brainchild of Limerick friends Caitrín O’Brien & BJ Broderick. Caitrín and BJ met over 12 years ago, while working in Dolan’s Pub and Restaurant. Caitrín is a qualified mechanical engineer while BJ is a qualified Nutrition & Health Coach. In 2015, they approached LEO Limerick who offered them a mentor, guided their business through the development stages, and provided them with a priming grant, training and advice. Wellnice Pops are currently on a trial with 19 Supervalu’s across the country, as well as regularly supplying summer festivals and health shops. Wellnice Pops are 100% vegetable & fruit juice ice pops. They are the first of their kind in Ireland, providing a 100% natural ice pop. Wellnice Pops hope to start exporting to international markets in the future.<br />
